Tiny injures right arm in nasty fall

Matthew “Tiny” Lovett sustained multiple serious fractures to his right arm while performing some undisclosed hot tub stunts at a recent band after party.  “You know, I can only use two fingers on my right hand at the moment, but I think I can pull something off by May 3rd, or I’ll just use my left hand.  Playing piano and sax is easy, most people could do it with one hand in their sleep.  My singing hasn’t been affected too much, either.  I’d also like to thank all of my fans for your support during this time, you’ve both been great and I promise to post the X-rays to the website soon!”

Donation made to Canadian Red Cross

Thanks to all who bought tickets to our little fundraiser at Cowboys on July 19th.  Hopefully you enjoyed the show as much as we did!   I’m happy to announce that we raised a nice even $500 through ticket sales alone and have donated the entire sum to the Canadian Red Cross.

Thanks again, and we hope to see you at the next Prairie Fire show!

Another rowdy crowd at Castor Rodeo Friday night social

Many thanks to the Castor and District Ag Society (and especially the McNabb’s) for having us again at the 36th Annual Castor Rodeo!

As for the song requests, I think we can add some George Strait tunes for next year, but we’re still discussing “Beyonce”.

Next year can you turn down the volume on those cows at 5am????!!!

Cowboy’s Dance Hall money raised for Alberta Flood Relief

Thanks to our fans and Cowboys dance hall for the Alberta Flood Relief fund raiser!  Donations are still coming in, but we raised a few hundred bucks (and had a great time doing it) for the Canadian Red Cross to support the ongoing efforts to help those affected by the floods.  Don’t forget that lot’s of folks around Southern Alberta are still dealing with this tragedy!

Thanks to you all!

Two man luge at Miller’s

Hey Miller, the shop shaker shook all night long…  Hard to play when your buddies are doing the two man luge..  But we loved it.  Hope to see you all next year!  Thanks for having us!
