Prairie Fire announces second stop on 2015 World Tour – May 22nd at Cowboys Dancehall in Calgary

World non-famous local non-recording artists Prairie Fire today announced the second official stop of their upcoming 2015 World Tour.  The band will be playing at Cowboys Dance Hall in Calgary, May 22nd, 8:30pm.   The appearance is part of the legendary venue’s “Countdown to Stampede” Series, and will feature Texas recording artist Rick Elliott taking the stage after Prairie Fire.
Extremely tall guitar man Peter “Pedro” Robar was excited to make the announcement today, “I’m really tall, so I like the big stage of course.  Actually, I think we’re going to apply to Guinness and see if we’re actually the biggest band on record, at least by total combined height, or total mass of the group…  anyhoo…  why I am I getting interviewed?”
Tickets can be bought at the door or online, or at a special discount from your favourite band member.*  Doors open at 8:00pm, so be there early to “get ready” for the band!

Saturday July 5th will be the final tour stop in Calgary in 2014

Prairie Fire announced today that this Saturday’s Calgary Stampede stop at Original Joe’s will be the final stop of the Calgary leg of the “Hail Damage 2014” World Tour.  From here the band heads out on the Foothills Cowboys Association (FCA) rodeo circuit, with a first stop in Castor AB on July 25th.

Mike Jensen, Prairie Fire percussionist, says the band is thankful for the support they’ve received from their Calgary faithful so far.  “You know, to have three stops in one city on the same tour is basically unheard of.  We typically only see that kind of passion in Germany and Japan, so we’re very thankful to our Calgary fans.  Hope to see you all Saturday night.”

The band also announced that famed Blues Harp player Art “Rocky” will be joining them on stage for a special appearance.

See you all there.

Thanks to Original Joe’s and our fans!

Thanks to Original Joe’s and the best fans in the business for a great night Saturday.  Despite a blast of winter weather that kept many at home trying to stay warm, we still had a fantastic turnout!  Between the dancing and the many shots of Tequila and Tabasco we all found a way to stay warm and have a blast, as always.  See you next time!

World’s toughest sax player

Matthew “Short Arm” Lovett has been named “World’s Toughest Sax and Piano Player” by an indisclosed party.  Only a few short weeks after suffering this serious bone fracture at a Prairie Fire after party, Lovett has confirmed that he’ll play the kickoff to the band’s “Hail Damage 2014” world tour at Original Joe’s.   Lovett claims that he is feeling some pain, but that his playing has actually improved due to the now shorter length of his right arm.  He also claims that, “chicks dig scars and guys with huge metal plates in their arms”.  Way to go Tiny!Right Arm X-Ray 18 - 14-03-16 Right Arm X-Ray 04 - 14-04-02
